Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our peptides, ordering, shipping, and policies.
Are our peptides for human or animal consumption?
No. All products sold by Biotech Peptides and Gears are strictly for in‑vitro laboratory research use only. They are not FDA‑approved and must not be consumed by humans or animals under any circumstances.
What purity levels do you guarantee?
Every batch is tested by HPLC and mass spectrometry. We guarantee ≥99% purity for all standard peptides. A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is available upon request or downloadable from your order history.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. However, customs regulations vary. It is the buyer’s responsibility to verify that peptides are legal in their country. We are not liable for seized or delayed packages.
How should I store lyophilized peptides?
Store lyophilized (freeze‑dried) peptides at -20°C or -80°C in a desiccated, light‑protected container. Avoid repeated freeze‑thaw cycles. Reconstituted peptides should be aliquoted and stored at -20°C.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Apple Pay, Cashapp, Zelle, and cryptocurrency (BTC, ETH). All transactions are encrypted and secure.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic orders (USA): 2–5 business days. International: 7–14 business days. Expedited shipping (Overnight, 2‑Day) is available at checkout. Orders placed by 1 PM PST ship same day.
Do you provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch?
Yes. Every product listing includes a batch‑specific COA with HPLC chromatogram and mass spec data. You can also request a COA before purchasing via our support team.
Can I return a peptide if I ordered the wrong one?
No. Due to the sensitive nature of research peptides and potential mishandling, we do not accept returns for change of mind or incorrect selection. Please double‑check your order before confirming.
Do you offer custom peptide synthesis?
Absolutely. We synthesize custom sequences (up to 100 amino acids), including modified, labeled, and cyclic peptides. Email your sequence to info@biotechpeptide-store.com for a quote.
Are your peptides tested for endotoxins?
Yes, upon request. Standard peptides are not routinely tested for endotoxins, but we can perform LAL testing for an additional fee. Contact us for details.
Is my personal information secure?
We use SSL encryption and never sell your data. Our privacy policy outlines exactly what we collect and how it is used – no third‑party sharing.
What is your cutoff time for same‑day shipping?
Orders placed by 1:00 PM PST (4:00 PM EST) ship the same business day. Any order after that time will ship the next business day (excluding weekends and holidays).
How are peptides shipped to maintain stability?
We use insulated packaging with gel ice packs for heat‑sensitive peptides during summer months. Lyophilized peptides are stable at ambient temperature for short transit, but we take extra precautions for long distances.
Do you offer discounts for bulk or institutional orders?
Yes. Universities, hospitals, and research institutions receive tiered discounts based on quantity. Contact our sales team for a custom quote.
Can I reconstitute peptides with sterile water?
It depends on the peptide’s solubility. Many peptides require slightly acidic (acetic acid) or basic (ammonium bicarbonate) solutions. Always refer to the product’s solubility data sheet provided with your order.
What if my package arrives damaged?
We will send a free replacement. Email us within 48 hours with photos of the damaged packaging and product. No return needed.
Do you test for heavy metals or residual solvents?
Our standard COA includes HPLC purity and mass confirmation. For additional safety data (heavy metals, residual solvents, microbial limits), we can arrange third‑party testing at an extra cost.
Which countries do you not ship to?
We currently do not ship to countries with complete bans on peptide research (e.g., Australia, New Zealand, Norway for certain peptides). Check our shipping policy or contact support for specific destinations.
How long do peptides last after reconstitution?
Reconstituted peptides are best used within 7–14 days when stored at 4°C. For longer storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C. Avoid repeated freeze‑thaw cycles.
Do you price match other peptide suppliers?
We will try to match or beat any legitimate competitor’s price for the same purity and quantity, provided the competitor is a registered research supplier. Email us the quote.
Can I access my past order COAs online?
Yes. Log into your account, go to “Order History”, and click the COA link next to each product. COAs are stored for at least 3 years.
Is there an age requirement to purchase?
You must be 18 years or older to use our site and purchase products. We may require proof of age or institutional affiliation for certain orders.
How do I know which buffer to use for reconstitution?
Each product page includes recommended reconstitution conditions (e.g., water, acetic acid, DMSO). If unsure, contact our technical support team with the exact peptide sequence.
Do you sell peptide blends or custom mixtures?
Yes. We can create custom peptide blends at any ratio. Minimum order quantity applies. Email your specifications for a quote and lead time.
Do you offer phone support?
Yes. Our customer support line is available Monday–Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM PST. The number is provided in your order confirmation email and on our Contact page.
Are your peptides sterile?
Standard peptides are not terminally sterilized. For sterile peptides (0.22 µm filtered or gamma irradiated), please request sterile filtration during checkout – additional fee applies.
How do I calculate the volume of solvent for a desired concentration?
Use the formula: volume (µL) = (mass in mg × 1,000,000) / desired concentration (µM × molecular weight). Our online reconstitution calculator on each product page can help.
Are your products legal in the United States?
Yes, for legitimate research purposes. Peptides are not controlled substances. However, it is your responsibility to comply with local, state, and federal regulations regarding research chemicals.
Do you provide MSDS (Safety Data Sheets)?
We provide an SDS for each peptide class upon request. General laboratory safety precautions should always be followed (gloves, goggles, fume hood).
What is your most popular peptide?
Our best‑selling peptides include Retatrutide, Tirzepatide, Semaglutide, BPC‑157, and TB‑500. All are available in various sizes and ≥99% purity.
Do you ship on weekends?
Our warehouse operates Monday–Friday only. Orders placed after 1 PM PST on Friday will ship the following Monday (excluding holidays). Expedited Saturday delivery may be available by special request.
Can I use your peptides in high‑throughput screening (HTS)?
Yes. We offer plates (96‑well or 384‑well) with pre‑dispensed peptides for HTS. Minimum quantities apply. Contact us with your concentration and plate format requirements.
Do you offer refunds for lost international packages?
If tracking shows no movement for 14 business days, we will reship once at no charge. We do not offer monetary refunds for lost international packages due to complex carrier claim processes.
Are your peptides suitable for cell culture?
Our standard peptides are not certified endotoxin‑free. For cell culture applications, order our “cell‑culture grade” peptides which are tested for endotoxins (<1 EU/mg) and sterile filtered.
How do I request a quote for a large order?
Use the “Request a Quote” button on any product page or email info@biotechpeptide-store.com with the peptide name, quantity, and purity. We typically reply within 4 hours.
Does your website use cookies?
Yes, we use functional and analytics cookies to improve your experience. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some site features may not work properly.
Can I purchase if I am not affiliated with a lab?
We require a verifiable research purpose. Private individuals without institutional affiliation may still purchase if they can demonstrate legitimate research intent (e.g., home lab, educational project). We reserve the right to refuse any order.
What is the shelf life of lyophilized peptides?
Properly stored at -20°C in a desiccator, lyophilized peptides remain stable for 2–3 years. Avoid humidity and light. Each vial’s expiration date is printed on the label.
Where can I find your Terms & Conditions?
Our full Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Accessibility Statement are linked in the footer of every page. By ordering, you agree to be bound by them.
How do I contact technical support for peptide handling?
